OPEN SOURCE TECHNOLOGIES

             http://www.brizgo.net/
Open source refers to a program in which the source code is available to the
general public for use and/or modification from its original design free of
charge

Open Source as the name implies is visible set of instructions
which is open to public or users to change and customize as
per their needs. It can be either be free one or paid one where
the users can change the code as per their needs.

The source code and certain other rights usually restricted to
copyright holders are offered within a software license that
enables users to analyze, change, and improve possibly at times
                   and to distribute the software.

                                                                  http://www.brizgo.net/

                                   Equivalent programs

                                                             http://www.brizgo.net/
Open Source Software

Open source software is computer software, is distributed
along with its source code - the code is used to create the
software - under a special software license. The license allows
users to use, change and improve the software's source code,
and to redistribute the software either before or after it has
been modified.

We make any modifications to the source code, one of the
conditions of open source is that you have to provide
information to other developers about what has been changed,
                       and how.

                                                                  http://www.brizgo.net/

Open Source Initiative
The Open Source Initiative (OSI) is an organization dedicated to promoting open
source software.

Open Source is a certification mark owned by the Open Source Initiative
(OSI). Developers of software that is intended to be freely shared and
possibly improved and redistributed by others can use the Open Source
trademark if their distribution terms conform to the OSI's Open Source
Definition. To summarize, the Definition model of distribution terms
         require that:

 The software being distributed must be redistributed to anyone else without
 any restriction.
 The source code must be made available (so that the receiving party will be
able to improve or modify it).
 The license can require improved versions of the software to carry a different
name or version from the original software.

Open source tools are typically created as a collaborative
effort in which programmers improve upon the code and
share the changes within the community, and is usually
available at no charge under a license defined by the Open

Open Source Licenses

Open Source Licenses which have successfully gone through the approval process
and comply with the Open Source Definition are

            Licenses by name
            Licenses by category

An open-source license is a copyright license for computer software that makes the
source code available for everyone to use. This allows end users to review and
modify the source code for their own customization and/or troubleshooting needs.
Open-source licenses are also commonly free, allowing for modification,
redistribution, and commercial use without having to pay the original author.

Open-source software licenses are approved by the Open Source Initiative (OSI)
based on their Open Source Definition (OSD).
