Attendance & Participation
 Attendance will be marked by instructors:
 At start of lesson (by 11:15am, 2.15pm or 4:15pm)
 At end of lesson
 During lesson (periodic checks by instructors/staff)
 Student will be marked late/absent for:
 Late arrival (after 11:15am, 2.15pm or 4:15pm)
 Missing during lesson
 No proper sport attire
 Non-participation
Lesson Requirements (F2F)
Official Excuse
 Medical Certificate (MC)
 Students who are unwell are NOT allowed to attend and sit out (to get the attendance),
but is required to seek medical attention, and apply for MC thereafter
 Leave of Absence [LOA / LOA(PE)]
 Students under the following circumstances can apply for LOA(PE) via TPOSS for affected
S&W lesson/s only:
 Physical injury e.g. sprained ankle, dislocated shoulder.
Supporting document such as “Excuse from PE” memo from doctor is required
 Vaccination/booster shot
Supporting document such as screenshot of the TraceTogether app, showing your particulars
and date of vaccination/booster. Only applicable within 2 weeks from date of vaccination
Prevailing SMMs (subject to changes)
 At least 1m distancing between groups of 5 pax for unmasked physical activities
 Multiple groups of 5 pax per group, up to 30 pax per class
 Masks to be worn as a default. Remove only during strenuous activities and as
recommended by the instructors. Put on immediately after completion of strenuous
activities

Attendance
1. What is the passing requirement?
 Passing requirement based on attendance & participation, at ≥85% of attendance.
Students should verify their weekly attendance after 3 days of their lesson
2. What happens if I do not meet the passing criteria (< 85%) for S&W?
 have a “Fail” reflected in their academic transcript
 not eligible to qualify for Diploma with Merit
 have to repeat the subject

3. If I have an MC or LOA, will it affect my attendance for S&W?
 MC and LOA are considered valid reasons for being absent from class. You are required to
submit your MC or LOA according to your School’s guidelines (e.g. apply through TPOSS)
and ensure application is approved. Once approved, attendance for S&W will not be
affected

1. Where can I obtain the Exemption Application Form?
 The exemption form can be obtained from Student Services Webpage

 Students are required to report for classes until exemption has been approved.
Submission of application does not constitute approval
3. How do I know if my application for exemption has been approved?
 The administrator will email you (to your TP student email address) to notify you of the
status of your application – received/ approved

4. If I am exempted from S&W, am I still eligible for Diploma with Merit?
 Students who are exempted from S&W will be eligible for Diploma with Merit if they fulfill
all other criteria required
5. Where do I submit the application for exemption form if I need to do so after
08 May 2022?
 The form can be emailed to the administrators with the necessary supporting documents
at any point of time should you require extended excuse from physical activities
