HOW TO INSTALL ABAP DEVELOPMENT TOOL(ADT)

ADT (ABAP Development Tool) is a SAP-provided tool that operates within
the Eclipse environment. If your task involves working with HANA CDS

Below, you will find a detailed guide on installing Eclipse for ABAP
Development Tool (ADT) in a step-by-step manner.

1. Open the Eclipse download page Eclipse download page.


Pay attention to what your system configuration is. 32-bit or 64-bit?
Install accordingly.
2. Click download.

3. Select “Show in folder “in your browser.

4. Extract the Eclipse zip file with right-click.


5. Open the Eclipse-Java folder. Open the Eclipse folder. Double-click
eclipse.exe to run the application.

6. Launch your workplace.


7. Select Help-> Install new software.

8. Enter the latest ABAP Development Tool URL in the work with section.
Select ABAP Development Tool and click next.
9. Click next.

10. Accept the license Agreement and click finish.


11. ADT will be installed. Click Install Anyway.

12. Click select all and accept selected.


13. Click restart now.

14. Now ADT is installed. Switch to the ABAP perspective.


select Window > Perspective > Other Perspective > Other.

15. Then select ABAP and click Open.


16. Check your result.

6. Click Restart now.

7. abapGit for ADT installed successfully.
