Handling Post-Migration Outlook Sign-In Prompt

Standard Operating Procedure


App Protection to IOS Devices into Microsoft Intune Step

1. Open the App Store on iOS Device.

On your iOS device, locate the App Store icon on the home screen. Tap the icon once to launch the
App Store, where you can search for and download applications.
2. Search and Install Microsoft Outlook
In the App Store, tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen. Type "Microsoft Outlook" in the
search bar, then tap Get or the download icon next to the app to begin the installation.

3. Open the Microsoft Outlook App


Once installed, locate the Microsoft Outlook app on your device’s home screen. Tap the app icon to
open and launch Microsoft Outlook.
4. Add an Account in Microsoft Outlook
After opening the Microsoft Outlook app, you will see the Add Account screen. Tap Add Account to
begin setting up your email account.

5. Enter Work Email Address


In the email setup screen, type your work email address in the designated field, then tap Next to
proceed with the sign-in process.
6. Enter Password
When prompted, enter the password associated with your work email address, then tap Sign In or
Next to continue the setup.

7. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)


If prompted, complete the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process. Follow the on-screen
instructions to verify your identity—this may include entering a code sent to your phone, approving a
notification in an authenticator app, or using another configured method.
8. Register Your Device for Security
When prompted with "Help us keep your device secure," tap Register to enroll your device with
your organization's security policies. This ensures your device complies with required security
settings to protect corporate data.

9. Organization Data Protection Notice


A message will appear stating "Your organization is now protecting its data." This means your device
is successfully enrolled and secured according to your organization's policies to keep company
information safe. Tap OK or Continue to finish the setup.
10. Set a PIN for Device Security
You will be prompted to set a PIN to protect access to your Outlook app and organization data. Enter
a secure PIN code of your choice, then confirm it to complete the setup.

11. Re-enter the PIN


To confirm your PIN, re-enter the same code you created earlier. This ensures your PIN is set
correctly for securing access to the app and your organization’s data.
12. Access Email with App Protection Policies Applied
After completing the setup, you can now access your work emails through the Microsoft Outlook
app. Please note that your organization has applied App Protection Policies to safeguard sensitive
information. As a result, certain functions such as taking screenshots or sharing data with other apps
may be restricted. These measures are in place to ensure secure handling of corporate data on your
mobile device.
