INTRODUCTION:
Mobile phones are important in our daily life.
Teenagers use phones for studies, social media, and games.
But, too much use becomes addiction.
Mobile addiction is when a person can't stay away from phone.
This problem affects health, mind, and relationships.
Causes of Mobile Addiction:
Social media apps like Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
Online games and video streaming (like YouTube, reels)
Fear of missing out (FOMO)
Free time with no hobbies or outdoor play
Using phone late night before sleep
Lack of family or real-life communication
EFFECTS:
Eyes become weak and headache starts.
Less focus in studies and school work.
Sleep gets disturbed due to late-night phone use.
Children stop talking with family members.
No interest in outdoor games or sports.
Mood changes often – anger, sadness, etc.
CLEAR SIGNS :
Uses phone for more than 3–4 hours daily.
Gets angry or upset if phone is taken away.
Sleeps late due to social media or games.
Ignores schoolwork, studies, and family.
Constantly checks notifications and messages.
Feels bored or anxious without the phone
REASONS BEHIND ADDICTION:
Easy access to smartphones and internet.
Lack of outdoor games or hobbies.
Peer pressure and trend-following.
Loneliness or emotional stress.
Social media apps made to be addictive.
No strict screen-time rules at home.

Eye strain, headaches, and weak eyesight.
Poor posture and neck/back pain.
Sleep problems due to screen light.

Less focus and memory power.
Stress, anxiety, and mood changes.

How to Control Mobile Addiction
🔹 Set Daily Time Limit
Use apps to fix screen time (like Digital Wellbeing).
🔹 Follow "No-Phone Zones"
Avoid using phone while studying, eating, or before sleep.
🔹 Do Physical Activities
Play outdoor games, walk, or do yoga/exercise daily.
🔹 Talk with Family & Friends
Spend real time instead of just chatting online.
Role of Parents and Teachers
🔹 Observe and Support
Notice sudden behaviour change or mood swings in child.
🔹 Encourage Hobbies
Promote drawing, dancing, reading, etc.
🔹 Fix Study & Screen Routine
Help children balance time for study & relaxation.
🔹 Communicate Often
Have regular talks about mental health and focus
