Mobile Phones: Impact and Challenges

Mobile phones have become ubiquitous in modern society. They allow us to stay constantly connected with others through calls, texts, and mobile applications. While this constant connectivity has benefits like maintaining relationships, it also has negative impacts such as increased stress and poor posture from excessive use. To mitigate these downsides, people should use their phones sparingly and prioritize their health and real-world interactions.

The digital age

The Information Age (also known as the Computer Age, Digital Age, or New Media
Age) is a historical period that began in the mid-20th century, characterized by a
rapid epochal shift from the traditional industry established by the Industrial
Revolution to an economy primarily based upon information technology. The
onset of the Information Age can be associated with the development of
transistor technology.

We live in an era of astounding technological transformation in which change, not

stability, has become the norm. All around us are now-familiar technologies
whose present state of development—or very existence—would have seemed
extraordinary just a generation ago. From wireless telephones and handheld GPS
units to video games, DVD, and digital television, to MRIs, CT scans, laser eye
surgery, and robotic hip replacement surgery...

Well, I am gonna write about mobile phones.

A mobile phone is something we usually hold in our hands, a device from which it
never separates and without whose use we would not be able to imagine a day.
Given the fact how much we use, it is clear that the mobile phone has changed
our life habits.

Mobile phones have changed culture and continue to do so.

While schoolchildren used to pull their parents by the sleeve towards the door of
a toy store, today it is a more frequent station of a mobile phone equipment
store. Many children get their first phone when they go to school.

It doesn't matter if we are in transportation, post office, bakery, on the sidewalk,

or in the theater, if our phone is with us, we are always at the click of the
information we need. Whether we are wondering where the nearest bookstore is,
or until when the bank is open, how to clean the stain we just made, or what to
prepare for lunch today - our phone has answers to all questions.
The phone was initially created due to the need to get in touch with people who
are not near us, and we can say that in the time we live in, this function has
reached an enviable level, and that it is now almost impossible to lose contact
with someone, unless we not an intention.

Mobile applications, such as WhatsApp and Viber, gave every smartphone owner
the opportunity to see and hear with family and friends at any time during the
day. And while some will say that technology distances us, the fact is that if we
use it responsibly it can also make us very close.

Most can agree that spending time on social media is one of our life habits. Many
have replaced the morning ritual of drinking coffee and browsing the morning
press with "scrolling" Instagram. We also believe that there will be those who will
find it in the evening ritual, which includes checking social networks before going
to bed.

These were the good sides of the phone but unfortunately there are also bad
ones…

Mobile is also the main culprit for ubiquitous stress, especially if you check your
phone often and break your head over why you’re still waiting for a message. It
causes a feeling of anxiety.

Smartphones affect the poor appearance of the face. They are full of bacteria that
are easily transmitted to the skin. If you’ve ever wondered why your neck and
back often hurt, the reason could lie in texting, surfing, or using social media.

But if you often hear the mobile vibrate, and then realize that you simply
imagined everything, it is a phantom vibration syndrome of the mobile, which
some feel even when the mobile is turned off.

In my opinion excessive use of the phone can cost you much more than just time,
we need to use the phone sparingly and we need to take more care of our health.
