Ans. A mainframe, computer has huge processing power and data


storage capabilities. It is built to handle enormous amount of data and
carry out complex calculations. It is used to carry out complex

2)What is microprocessor?
Ans. A microprocessor is an integrated circuit (IC) that contains a central

executing instruction. Microprocessors are used in home to monitor and
control devices such as i) Central Heating system ii) Home, entertainment

3)What is a desktop computer?


Ans. A desktop computer is a computer that Is designed to stay in one
place, for example on a desk. A desktop computer traditionally consists of
a separate” monitor keyboard, mouse etc.
-Desktop are typically more powerful than mobile
-Desktop are upgrable, the parts can be replaced to increase performance

18)Command line interface

Ans. Many years ago when the computers were not very powerful they could
not display colourful graphics. The only interface available to most computer
users was the “command Line”. The User would see nothing but a block
screen. They would have to type a command to make anything happen, it
may be is every difficult to use as the user needs to know the exact
instruction to type in. It is also a lot time-consuming as users might need to
search for Instruction Commands

19.Menu driven Interface- In this interface the user can choose any option
from the menu available to typing in the number next to the menu option of
pressing enter. A menu driven interface can be easier to use as the users do
not need to remember any commands.
