Introduction
In Odoo 18, the CRM module's activity feature is designed to help
users manage and track tasks related to customer interactions. These
tasks could include phone calls, meetings, emails, or follow-ups, and
are essential for progressing through sales and customer
management processes. By scheduling and assigning activities, users
can ensure timely actions, keep track of deadlines, and maintain
better organization throughout the sales cycle. This functionality helps
improve customer relationship management and overall workflow
efficiency.

To set up activity types in Odoo 18, navigate to CRM > Configuration >
Activity Types, then click the "New" button to create a new activity
type.

In the form view, you can edit the activity name and choose from
options like "Upload Document" or "Meeting"in the Action, Under the
"NEXT ACTIVITY" tab, select "Suggest Next Activity" to recommend the
next task or "Trigger Next Activity" to start it automatically. You can
also add an email template to send to the customer after completing
the activity.

After creating the activity, go to the pipeline by navigating to CRM >
Sales > My Pipeline.

In the pipeline's Kanban view, click the activity icon to schedule an
activity. Then, click "+Schedule an activity"

In the pop-up wizard, select the previously created activity type. The
other fields will be automatically populated accordingly. Then, click the
Schedule button to schedule the activity.

Once the activity is scheduled it can be viewed under the chatter

Once you click "Mark Done," a pop-up window titled "Mark Done" will
appear.

After entering your feedback in the feedback area, click the "Done &
Schedule Next" button.

activity.
