II. SUMMARY
The Basic Mathematics subject corresponds to the Basic Training area of the
professional futures in Statistical Engineering and computer science, is of a theoretical nature and
practical, aims for the student to use the basic concepts, for the
comprehension, interpretation and application through mathematical models in the solution of
problems, scientific and technological; it is organized into three didactic units: I Unit:
Propositional Logic and Set Theory, Unit II: Relations, Functions and Graphs, III
Unit: Number Systems, Vectors, and Matrices.
III. COMPETENCE/COMPETENCE ELEMENT.
Formulate and solve problems related to your professional and scientific training.
socio-cultural context through mathematical models using basic concepts that
contributes to the integral, scientific-technical formation of the student, enabling the
acquisition of new knowledge, procedures that guide the profile of the future
professional.
a. Solve problems and interpret using the definitions of mathematical logic and
set theory.
b. Interpret and define Relationships, Functions, graph and identify the domain and range
for problem solving and uses Graphs with reasoning.
c. Applies concepts of Number Systems, solves Problems using the
Theory of Vectors and Matrices appreciating their applicability value in activities
daily and technology, establishing their consequences with a critical attitude and
reflexive.
