Monday
Duration: 50 mins

Learning Competencies:
o Describe the changes in the weather over a period of time (S3ES-IVe-f-3)

I. Objectives
At the end of the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
 Define what a weather is (Know – Remembering)
 State the different types of weather (Know – Remembering)
 Describe the different types of weather (Know - Understanding)
 Share experiences with the different types of weather ((Know – Remembering)
 Cooperate with their classmates in their groupwork (Do)
 Paint a picture of the different types of weather (Understand – Applying)
 Create a weather board (Do – Creating)

III. Lesson Proper


a. Review (5 mins)
The teacher will let the students recall last week’s lesson “The Surroundings” by
asking them the question “Why the surroundings are important to people and
other living things?” Three students will answer the question. The teacher will
synthesize their answers.
b. Motivation (5 mins)
The teacher and the students will sing the song “What’s the weather like today?”
with actions.

c. Activities (10 mins)


The students will have a drawlots. They will pick the type of weather they will be
assigned. They will be group according to the type of weather they picked. After,
they will paint a picture with the weather they will be assigned.

d. Abstraction (10 mins)


The teacher will discuss what a weather is and the different types of it. He/she
will showcase the paintings of the types of weather of the groups. He/she will ask
the class these questions:
o Define what a weather is
o State and describe the different types of weather
After the discussion, three students will share their experiences with the different
types of weather.

e. Application (15 mins)


In a group, the students will make a weather board which they will paste pictures
on it with the different types of weather, what people wear, do and eat during
those types of weather.

IV. Assessment (5 mins)


In a ¼ sheet of paper, they will the definition of weather. They will also answer what
weather they like and why.
Tuesday
Duration: 50 mins

I. Objectives
At the end of the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
 Define what a cloud is (Know – Remembering)
 Describe the different types of clouds (Know – Understanding)
 Differentiate the types of clouds (Understand – Analysing)
 Draw the different types of clouds (Do - Creating)

II. Subject Matter

III. Lesson Proper


a. Review (5 mins)
The teacher will let the students review yesterday’s topic “Weather and Its
Types.” She will show pictures and the students will identify what type of
weather it is.

b. Motivation (5 mins)
The teacher will hand some cotton balls to the students. She will tell them to
pretend as cloud scientists. The students will describe the cotton balls they are
holding. The teacher will tell them that clouds are like cotton balls.
c. Activities (10 mins)
The students will draw the clouds they observed from the window in a bond
paper. They will answer these following questions:
o What color are the clouds? White? Light gray? Dark
gray?
o How they appear? Are they clustered or scattered?

d. Abstraction (15 mins)


The teacher will discuss what a cloud is and the different types of it. He/she will
show some pictures of the different types of clouds. She will let the students
identify what type of cloud they drew. She will also ask them to differentiate the
types of clouds as seen in the pictures.

e. Application (10 mins)


The teacher will distribute blue construction paper, cotton balls, and chalk and
allow students to use the items to create and label a cloud of their own. The
students will think about what kind of weather is likely with the cloud they create
and be ready to tell what that weather is. After, three students will share their
work to the class.

IV. Assessment (5 mins)


The teacher will distribute the worksheets to the students. The students will
answer them where they will label the types of clouds and describe them from
what they see on the pictures in their worksheets.
Wednesday
Duration: 50 mins

The students will draw the basic weather instruments in a short bond paper.

The teacher will discuss the basic weather instruments, their features and their
functions by showing them some pictures and the students drawings.

e. Application (15 mins)


The students will form a group and they will be tasked to make a wind vane.
The teacher will provide them some materials.

IV. Assessment (5 mins)


The teacher will distribute the worksheets to the students. The students will
answer them where they will list and describe the basic weaher instruments and
their functions.

Thursday
Duration: 50 mins

basic weather instrument is shown and explain its function.

b. Motivation (5 mins)
The teacher will show paste three pictures of different scenarious of the
different types of weather. Three students will share what they observe with
the pictures on the board.

c. Activities (5 mins)
The students will complete this paragraph:
Today is a ________. The sky is _________. The wind is ___________. I like
to do the following _________, ____________, ________ , and
____________.

d. Abstraction (15 mins)


The teacher will ask the students the following questions:
 Are the activities during sunny weather different from the activities done
during rainy weather?
 Are the activities done during rainy weather different from the activities
that are done during stormy weather?
 How different are the activities during warm or sunny days from the
activities during rainy days or stormy days?
 What can you say about the activities done by the people in the
community during different weather.
She will explain to the class how different weathers affect people, animals,
plants and the environment.

e. Application (10 mins)


The students will perform a role play on how the different types of weather
affects human beings.

IV. Assessment (10 mins)


The teacher will provide the students some art materials. In a triad, the students will
make a collage showing the effects of weather on people, plants, and animals.

Friday
Duration: 50 mins

o Enumerate and practice safety and precautionary measures in dealing with different types
of weather (S3ES-IVg-h-5)
I. Objectives
At the end of the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
 Identify the Health, Safety, and Precautionary Measures in Different Types of
Weather (Know – Understanding)
 Dramatize the Health, Safety, and Precautionary Measures in Different Types
of Weather (Understand - Applying)
 Write an essay on what to do in dealing with different types of weather (Do –
Creating)

ask three students how the different types of weather affect people,
animals, plants and the environment.

b. Motivation (5 mins)
The teacher will display some pictures on what to wear during
different kinds of weather. She will let the students identify when they
will wear those types of clothes.

c. Activities (5 mins)
The students will write the kind of weather in each situation.

______1. The sun cannot be seen and there are plenty of dark clouds, but the
rain is not falling.
______2. The sun is shining and the wind is blowing very slightly.
______3. There are plenty of dark clouds and rain is falling.
______4. The sky is dark, the wind is strong and the rain is falling.
______5. The sky is clear and the clouds are so high.

d. Abstraction (15 mins)


The teacher will discuss the Health, Safety, and Precautionary
Measures in Different Types of Weather using a powerpoint.

e. Application (15 mins)


In groups, the teacher will ask the class to present a skit, talk show,
song about what valuable lessons they learned about weather and
about Health, Safety, and Precautionary Measures in Different Types
of Weather.

IV. Assessment (5 mins)


The students will write an essay. They will answer these questions:
 How do people prepare for weather changes?
 What safety preparations do you know of in dealing with
different types of weather?
 How do you prepare yourself for weather changes?
