At the end of 50 minutes 100% of learners are expected to describe the weather of the day
considering the temperature of the air.

II. CONTENT:
Subject Matter: Weather of the day considering the temperature of the air.
Value Integration: Taking care of oneself like drinking plenty of fluids to prevent
dehydration during hot days
Strategies: Group Activity - picture clue, know it device
Materials: Charts, pictures, flash cards
Reference: K to 12 Curriculum Guide, Science Textbook

III.LEARNING TASKS:

ELICIT

Ask questions:
1. What do you feel when the air is hot? Feel warm
2. What do you like to wear when the air is hot? Thin/Light clothes
3. Can you describe the weather of the day
considering the temperature of the air?

ENGAGE

1. Review:
1.1) ______ is the degree of hotness and
coldness of a substance. What is it? Temperature
1.2) Wind is a moving _____. Air
2. Motivation:
Show pictures of different weather of the day.
 1st picture shows hot day (warm air)
(sun can be seen)
 2nd picture show cold air
(sun cannot be seen, hidden by the clouds)
What can you say about the pictures?
3. Presentation:
Using these pictures, we will describe the weather
of the day considering the temperature of the air.

EXPLORE

Divide the pupils into 2 groups. Choose your reporter.

Let the pupils answer the activity sheet based from the
pictures presented.

Please see Activity Sheet inserted at the back.

EXPLAIN

1. Reporting:
Each group leader will report their work
2. Discussion:
One of the factors to be considered to describe the
weather is the temperature of the air. When the air
is warm, it is sunny. When the sun is hidden by the
clouds, and the wind is blowing hard, the weather
is cold. By knowing the temperature of the air, we
can describe the weather

ELABORATE

clothes?

VALUES INTEGRATION
