PROGRESS REPORT CONTENT

Your team is responsible for writing a unique report that describes

detailed design and provide the construction addresses for its
mechanism. This report is addressed either to the client, principal, assistant or
Professor, and the tone should be formal. The objective of this report is to document your
design and provide instructions and/or results of its mechanism (in this

Report Format

The technical report must be a professional document. To clarify the text

Figures, tables, and drawings must be used. The three main parts of a report.

be centered and separated by enough space to fill the entire page and
give the cover a good presentation.

To introduce a new section, use a title ('1. Introduction') and write a

introductory sentence that explains what will be addressed in this section. A brief

Executive Summary

The executive summary is a summary of the report, which includes information about
each section of the report. The purpose of the executive summary is to allow the
reader understands the main ideas and conclusions without needing to read the report

finished and is approximately 10% of the length of the complete report
(that is, 1 page for a 10-page report).

The executive summary should be a complete document in itself and should not be
a summary of individual sections but a global summary of the report,
providing the important information of each section. It is a document that
can be read independently of the report without losing its meaning

3. Mechanism Design

This section should clearly describe its design, and include any changes in
the proposed design. It should also include some drawings with dimensions of
the construction of the mechanism.

The final pages include the references and appendices.
